Coolest Chair in the History of the Universe

I found this awesome orange chair by the dumpster. It needs a little cleaning, but what a cool chair for free!

Oh, and the red "leather" CD/DVD holder was three bucks at the thrift store. AND, the huge, two panel curtains were five bucks.

Filter

Was going through my files and found this old favorite. There used to be an alleyway piled with debris at my old place of employment. Found this filter laying in plastic orange safety "fencing." Taken with my Nikon N75, Fuji Chrome film.

New Camera

I am no longer a Luddite when it comes to cameras. I have finally joined the digital age with a Nikon Coolpix 5900. The zoom doesn't work, but all of the other settings do including macro...

Not bad for a 5 buck camera, with a 512 MB SD card, from the thrift store.

Lamp Post

This isn't a black and white photograph. I actually shot this on Fuji colorslide film. It's 15 multiple exposures of a corner lamp post on a single slide on a snowy day. I like how it makes the street almost look like an iced-over stream with ghostly reflections in it.

I haven't done any black and white photography in a while...

I don't know why I don't shoot with b&w film very often....I tend to always like the results.

Life update

Just got a call from my mom and found out my grandpa died this morning. He had fallen and broken his hip about two weeks ago and wasn't a candidate for surgery. He told everyone he was ready to go and be with grandma and his death was incredibly peaceful.
